Further Information

Future Work includes:

I have one gig left on my Gawain and the Green Knight tour: a medieval story of derring-do, chivalry, and inconvenient corsets. It’s an ancient winter’s tale that goes back to our Celtic roots, and is perfect for a dark evening, especially if mulled wine is to be had (Hint to the organisers!)

I shall be performing Gawain on 10th February at St Mary’s Church, Great Eversden, Cambridgeshire.

I’ve already been to Cambridge, Kendal, Market Harborough, Manchester, Deal, Derby, and Margate , and done three London gigs at The Miller, The Betsy Trotwood, and The Bargehouse.

More Details:

On Friday 10th February I’ll be at St Mary’s, Great Eversden (about 6 miles SW of Cambridge). The show starts at 7:30pm: tickets are £10/£8 including wine, and can be booked via 01223 262216 or roblloydparry@hotmail.com

Recent Performances include:

Apart from Gawain I’ve done a story-meal in Cricklewood, performed at the Emporium Pudding Club, and told tales for families at the Celtic Harmony camp, Great Brickendon. I was part of the Tailspinner’s pop-up storytelling in Hackney Wick in September, plus did a Storymeal at the Queensbury Deli in Willesdon Green, Lands of Mystery and Desire for the Last Tuesday Society, the life of Ignaz Semmelweis for the Wellcome’s Dirt Exhibition, and was part of the Club Mix at Festival at the Edge. I’ve performed Kamishibai tales at the Geffrye Museum, Eat Me: Tales of Food and Cunning at the Tom Thumb Theatre, Margate, open-air craziness at the Willesdon Green Wassail, Gawain and the Green Knight at Torriano Storynight, and Hertfordshire Stories at St Leonard’s Bengeo. Last year included Tales in a tepee in Springfield Park, Kamishibai stories at the Wellcome Collection and to celebrate the refurbished Japanese Garden in Hammersmith Park, a Palestinian love story (Sahin and Jasmin) at the 40Winks Storynight in Stepney Green, and Tree Stories in the Wildlife Garden at the Natural History Museum.
